Coaches Note: Today's slug fest is a great opportunity to work on bigger sets of wall balls and moving a heavier barbell in the snatch. Sure big sets of wall balls are physically demanding but mentally you can set yourself with a better chance of success by thinking about success and what you can control. You can't control if you're a shorter athlete and have to jump every rep. You can control catching the ball each rep and keeping your heels down during the squat portion of each rep to ensure you get max power into the throw to hit the target. A good friend of mine told me "you can always do another wall ball" and today, when you think splitting it 10,10,10 is a good idea, try 11, 11, 8.
