CFCL Open Gym Policies & Etiquette
1. Open Gym during class time is restricted to 5 members only, per one hour block. You must reserve in advance and if you are placed on a waitlist – you’ll be emailed if someone cancels. If you do not come off the waitlist, please reserve a spot at a different time.
2. Open Gym is restricted to 3 areas:
a. Space Behind the Whiteboard and the backroom
b. Rack Square closest to the dumbbells**
c. Rack Square closest to the backdoor next to the whiteboard**
**please check with the coach before setting up in these spaces - if these areas are needed for class, Open Gym is restricted to 3 members the space behind the whiteboard - remember that if the class needs to pass through these spaces to grab equipment, open gym yields to class members.
The outdoor rig is also available for Open Gym – additional equipment (Wider J-hooks) is being purchased to accommodate additional use on the rig. However, if you bring anything outside – you must return it to its home at the end of your session.
3. Ropes, turf, pull-up bars and rings on the main floor are off limits during classes. The high rings by the water fountain and the star wall are available with permission of the coach on duty. The rack closest to the dumbbells will be modified for kipping or butterfly pull ups.
4. The scheduled class is the priority – please keep conversations, dropping weights and other disruptions at a minimum – always check with the coach before moving equipment.
Thank you for your cooperation – our goal is to provide options for our members, but also to ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone.
